UdK Ha33

2024
Collaboration between Mika Ebbing and Jule Roehr
video installation, floor projection (3h19min) and screen with vertical video (8min29sec)
posters and statements

Building on our previous collaboration – Bestand 8 we showed the floor projection in the entry hall of the Berlin University of the Arts at Rundgang 2024. Projecting directly onto the floor with the open sound of folding pages, the work was contextualized by a small written text on the wall.

Leaning on one of the columns was a screen with a new work, UdK Ha33. The work reacts to current events and how they pose questions concerning the meaning and the role of a university of the arts, or even universities in general. Over the duration of the exhibition, we added a number of posters and statements by groups and collectives addressing important issues, raising awareness and articulating critique towards the institution.
